I purchased a Javascript for dummies book, and in the software was a trial
Dreamweaver mx 2004. It has Long since expired. I now wish to remove
dreamweaver from my system. It simply Will Not uninstall. I have tried several
times using the control panel uninstall, and yet the program remains. Please
provide instructions on how to COMPLETELY REMOVE Dreamweaver mx 2004 from my
system.

When I attempt to launch DWCS3 I get a message informing me that...

"Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the
existing menus.xml file.
Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to
menus.xml."

Which I've done more than once and which hasn't worked.

Attempting to uninstall DWCS3, using either the standalone DWCS3 installer,
the CS3 Design Premium, or the CS3 Web Premium installers results in another
message...

"Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 is already installed.
To remove or modify this software, please use its original installer."

So far I neither can remover or reinstall Dreamweaver CS3.
:disgust;

Many Thanks in advance for any help with this matter.

On the Mac, do not drag applications to the trash to uninstall them. To
safely uninstall CS3 software, double-click
the product installer in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers.
Authenticate as an administrator, then select
Remove Components and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the Installer doesn't exist anymore or fails-

and

the last link is a removal tool for both win/mac

Many thanks.
Adobe's CSclean did the trick.
:grin;

Now all I have to do is figure out why I'm still receiving the following
dialog
each and every time I launch DWCS3.
Even after I delete the .xml file.

"Dreamweaver encountered problems while constructing the menus from the
existing menus.xml file.
Please delete the current menus.xml file and rename menus.bak to
menus.xml."
:confused;
Cheers!
