Every time Dreamweaver MX tries to update the site cache (for a large site) it crashes and gives me an Error Type 2(MAC). I have reinstalled the application and it still does it. I allocated extra memory and tried both Virtual Memory ON and OFF. Same thing. PLEASE HELP, I have many hours in this development and I need to update my pages with the Templates I have set up. It crashes every time I try to do this. Thanks!

Try a) recreating the site cache by using SITE | Recreate Site Cache, and b)
deleting the site's definition and re-creating it (the definition - not the
files).

Also, tell me - is the local site actually on a network shared drive?

Is it possible that file #889 is corrupt and is causing Dreamweaver to crash?
yes.

No such luck. It still crashes both ways. I have 896 files to be updated to the site cache. It crashes consistently on file #889. I am running everything locally on my HD. No network involved. I am running almost a gig of RAM on a MAC 500mhz G3. I have run Norton and turned off all non-system extensions to make sure there wasn't funny going on with a conflict or something. I have had no problems in the past with this or any other site definition. Is it possible that file #889 is corrupt and is causing Dreamweaver to crash?

Thanks for your help. This is a real pain.
